KPU Doubts Information on Voter Data of 2014 Hacked by <i> Hackers </i>“></p><p>JAKARTA – The General Election Commission (KPU) will immediately investigate the alleged leakage of millions of population data which were included in the final voter list (DPT) in the 2014 elections. Even so, Viryan did not want to simply believe the accuracy of election voter data which was said to be leaked on social media, before the internal check was completed.

“(The alleged leaked data) is just the claim concerned. Moreover, the number of DPT in the 2014 election is less than 200 million, but 190 million,” said Viryan when confirmed, Friday, May 22.

Moreover, said Viryan, referring to the regulation in Law Number 8 of 2012 concerning General Elections, voter data must be open and accessible to the public. This is done in order to promote transparency in the election administration.

Soft files The KPU data in the “.pdf” format will be issued according to regulations. To meet public needs, (DPT) is open, “said Viryan.

As previously reported, 2.3 million data on citizens and voters belonging to the KPU were allegedly leaked in a community forum hackers. The news was revealed by the social media account @underthebreach on Twitter.

From the data sample he shared, it was seen that a number of information including name, family card number, National Identity Number (NIK), and several other personal data had been hacked by hackers. Most of the leaked information comes from voter data from a number of regions in Yogyakarta.

2.3 Million KPU Voters' Data Leaked in Hacker Forum

JAKARTA – The data on millions of Indonesian citizens and voters at the General Election Commission (KPU) is suspected to have leaked in community forums hackers . This news was first disclosed by the @underthebreach account on Twitter. This Twitter account is quite active in monitoring activity hackers , especially those related to the leakage of personal data information. He also briefly informed about the sale of 91 million data from Tokopedia users dark web .
